Meet Rev. Patti Oshita

Rev Patti received her Tokudo and Kyoshi in Kyoto, Japan.  In 2016, Rev. Patti & Rev, Bob retired from the Sacramento Betsuin and together, they served 4 years as the California State Assembly Chaplains.  They fully retired in January of 2021. Although retired from active ministry, she continues to help as a Minister’s Assistant.

She is involved in coordinating the Wednesday Yoga classes, and the Thursday Night Heath & Wellness series. She plans and organizes the ongoing Northern California District Minister’s Assistants Training Sessions, and coordinates many of the Zoom lecture classes on Buddhism sponsored by the Betsuin. Rev. Patti has also been the coordinator for the Cub Scout & Girl Scout, Metta/Padma Awards 10-week program.

She is one of the founding leaders who continues to be active with the Betsuin-sponsored Girl Scout Troop 569 for the past 30 years.
