Sacramento Betsuin Choir
Calling all sopranos, altos, tenors, baritones, and basses! The Betsuin choir is an ensemble of individuals who love to sing and those who want to learn to sing. The Sacramento Betsuin Choir group performs at special services throughout the year, at both the temple and at District functions.
About Us
Mission & History
Since 1962, the Betsuin choir has performed at special services throughout the year at both temple and District functions. Most songs are performed in four-part harmony: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass/baritone. The blend of harmonies —both in English and Japanese—contributes to the meaningfulness of the services.
How to Join
New members are always welcome. Practices are held on Sundays —September through May—immediately following Dharma service. If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact the office directly at BetsuinOffice@gmail.com or (916) 446-0121.
