The Buddhist Churches of America will hold the Eitaikyo Perpetual Memorial Service on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 10 AM.
We are pleased to welcome our guest speaker, Reverend Emeritus Ron Miyamura, who grew up in the Placer area and recently retired as resident minister of Midwest Buddhist Temple in Chicago.
Eitaikyo means “the sutras are chanted, generation to generation.” This special annual service recognizes the wishes of our predecessors for us to sustain the Temple and for the next generation to listen to and enjoy the teachings.
This year will be extra special as we will have most of the Buddhist Churches of America (BCA) ministers in attendance to perform a special liturgy called “Kanmuryojukyo Saho.”
